Hide My Bookmarks · Last updated June 30, 2026

This page describes what the Hide My Bookmarks Chrome extension does and does not do with your data. It applies only to this extension, not to other Notavello tools or to notavello.com generally.

Short version

Hide My Bookmarks does not collect, transmit, sell, or store any of your data anywhere outside your own browser. There are no servers involved. There is no account. There is no analytics tracking built into the extension itself.

What the extension does

When you click the extension icon, Hide My Bookmarks uses Chrome's built-in Bookmarks API to move the items currently on your bookmarks bar into a folder named "Hide My Bookmarks — Stored" inside your Other Bookmarks. Clicking the icon again moves them back to the bar in their original order. This all happens locally, inside your own browser.
