PocketCreds Privacy Policy

The short version

PocketCreds stores the items you create locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage. PocketCreds does not upload, sell, share, sync, or transmit your saved text snippets, labels, icons, or reference images.

What PocketCreds does

PocketCreds is a Chrome extension that lets you save frequently used text snippets and optional reference images so you can access them quickly from the browser toolbar and copy selected text to your clipboard.

Information you may choose to save

PocketCreds does not require you to enter any particular type of information. You decide what to save. Depending on how you use it, saved items may include:

• Text snippets, labels, notes, IDs, codes, URLs, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses.
• Authentication-related information if you choose to save it, such as credentials, security notes, or identification numbers.
• Reference images that you add to the extension for quick local viewing.

PocketCreds is intended for everyday reference information. It is not intended to replace a dedicated password manager or secure vault for highly sensitive passwords, secrets, financial credentials, or recovery keys.

Where your data is stored

Your saved PocketCreds items are stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage. The extension does not provide a cloud account, remote database, external sync service, or server-side storage for your saved items.

What PocketCreds does not collect

• PocketCreds does not collect or receive your saved snippets, labels, icons, or reference images.
• PocketCreds does not transmit your saved items to Notavello or to third parties.
• PocketCreds does not sell or share your saved items.
• PocketCreds does not include advertising trackers or analytics inside the extension.
• PocketCreds does not collect browsing history, location, health information, financial payment information, or personal communications.

Clipboard permission

PocketCreds uses the Chrome clipboardWrite permission only when you click a Copy button. That action places the selected saved text snippet onto your clipboard so you can paste it somewhere else. PocketCreds does not read from your clipboard.

Storage permission

PocketCreds uses the Chrome storage permission to save the items you create, including text snippets, labels, icons, settings, and optional reference images. This allows your items to remain available after you close and reopen Chrome.

Remote code

PocketCreds does not use remote code. The extension code is packaged with the extension and is not loaded from an external server at runtime.

Third-party services

The PocketCreds extension itself does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, remote account services, or cloud storage services.

The Notavello website may use basic site infrastructure and analytics described in the main Notavello privacy policy, but those website services are separate from the local operation of the PocketCreds Chrome extension.

Data sharing

PocketCreds does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties. Any saved information remains local to your browser unless you choose to copy, export, paste, disclose, or otherwise share it outside the extension.

Children

PocketCreds is not directed at children under 13. Notavello does not knowingly collect personal information from children through PocketCreds.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of PocketCreds after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
