The short version

Ask My Screenshot helps you turn screenshots into clearer prompts for AI tools. The app does not upload your screenshots to Notavello. Your screenshot stays on your device unless you choose to attach, share, or send it to another app or service.

What Ask My Screenshot does

Ask My Screenshot is an iPhone app that helps create a text prompt based on a screenshot and the type of help you want. You can copy the prompt, save it, share it, or open a supported third-party AI provider such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity with the prompt ready.

Information you may choose to use

The app may let you select screenshots or photos from your device and may use on-device text recognition or related iOS features to help prepare a prompt. Depending on what you choose, screenshots may contain personal information, messages, account details, names, addresses, images, app screens, or other information visible in the image.

You are responsible for deciding which screenshots to use and whether to send those screenshots to any third-party AI provider.

Where your data is stored

Ask My Screenshot is designed to work locally on your device for the prompt-helper workflow. The app may save prompt history or app settings on your device so you can reuse or review your own prompts.

Ask My Screenshot does not provide a Notavello account, remote database, cloud sync service, or server-side storage for your screenshots or saved prompts.

What Ask My Screenshot does not collect

Photos permission

The app may request access to your Photos so you can choose a screenshot or image to use. You control what you select. Access to Photos is used to let you pick the image you want to work with.

Clipboard and sharing

The app may place a prompt on your clipboard when you choose to copy it or open another app with the prompt ready. Anything you copy to the clipboard may be accessible to other apps according to iOS clipboard behavior and permissions.

If you use a share sheet, link, or third-party app, the information you choose to share is handled by the destination app or service.

Third-party AI providers

Ask My Screenshot can open third-party AI services such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity. These services are not operated by Notavello. When you use them, their own terms, privacy policies, accounts, data practices, and app or website behavior apply.

In some cases, a provider may open with your prompt already filled in or sent. To include your screenshot, you may need to tap the plus or attach button in that provider and choose the screenshot from Photos. Once you send text or images to a third-party AI provider, that provider controls how the information is processed.

Analytics and diagnostics

Ask My Screenshot does not include advertising analytics or cross-app tracking. Apple may provide standard App Store, TestFlight, crash, or diagnostics information according to your device settings and Apple’s policies.

Data sharing

Notavello does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user screenshots, prompts, or saved app history with third parties. Information leaves your device only when you choose to copy, share, open, attach, paste, disclose, or send it outside the app.

Children

Ask My Screenshot is not directed at children under 13. Notavello does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Ask My Screenshot.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Ask My Screenshot after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
